Let's hear it for the size eights!

Whitney became the first plus-size model ever to win America's Next Top Model. I was really attached to Anya, but when I think about it more, I feel like Whitney deserved her win. Usually the winners of the show disappear into the Fashion Week woodwork, but I predict that Whitney is going to shine a lot more celebrity. She's different, beautiful, and quite the role model.

For those of us not blessed with crazy fast metabolisms, this is quite the victory. Granted, Whitney may never have a place on couture runways (though I hope like crazy I'll be proved wrong), but she still has a career ahead. And keep your eyes on Anya, too. I don't think she'll shrink away just yet.
