The New Yorker through the ages

For those of you who know me, my adoration for the New Yorker is no secret. I am madly in love with the eloquent articles and witty cartoons. As an aspiring journalist, the New Yorker is my ultimate goal. The publication is the cream of the crop. So who am I to keep my favorite little articles to myself? I need to share some pieces with my favorite blog readers on the planet. Which is why I am sharing this link. It features an absolutely wonderful slideshow of past fashion-related New Yorker covers. I hope you find it as interesting as I did. Ready for an irrelevant space-filling graphic pulled together by yours truly? I know I am!

In other news, I've begun the hunt for suitable undergarments for prom. Not sure if I've shared this before, but I have purchased a pink column dress with a halter top for Johnathan's prom. The back is fairly low, and the fabric is light and chiffony. And while it's very nice and slenderizing, I still want something along the lines of Spanx to keep my tummy in check. I also want something that will push my chest up just a little bit. So today my mother and the sister-unit and I went to the mall in a hunt for under-things. And the lesson that I've learned in the search so far is that you are going to get your money's worth if you spring for the pricier panties. Clearance brands from JC Penney do the job alright, but they're uncomfortable and far from cute. Victoria's Secret has been the best so far but still no dice. We're going to head to the Freudian Slip tomorrow, which is an adorable little lingerie boutique downtown. Count on an update then. And now, before I turn in for the night, I would like to share a few words. I cannot express enough how much all this sudden support has helped me out. You readers are such an incredibly talented bunch and I feel so blessed to have your eyes on my words. This blog really started out as a place for myself to mess around with Flick'r photos and brag about my trendy sister. And while that stuff is still around, I've also learned how to stay on top of the fashion world and become educated in a industry I hold so dear. That said, tons and tons of kisses. Adieu.
