Trailing Storm Clouds by seifken.♥ Making plans. Right after Spring Break, Maura will be gracing the Windy City with her bold presence. I have been making lists of all of Chicago's grandest shopping adventures and saving up money so that the two of us might take them by storm. I also can't wait to take her to Russian Tea Time, Tribune Tower, Myopic, Boystown....!!!!! I really adore this city, and I hope Maura finds it as perfect as I do.
♥ New apartments. On Saturday, Abby and I signed the lease on a 3-bedroom apartment with a friend of ours. It's so exciting! We can start to move in come April, and I've been tearing apart the internet looking for decorating ideas and furniture. My favorite (but spendy) spots to find things are Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters. I especially want this, this, and these. Oh! And no apartment would be complete without a shower curtain like this one.
♥ My black Banana Republic riding boots. I think I wear them with about 80% of my outfits. They're stylish, warm, and match every single outfit concievable. Tomorrow I look forward to pairing them with a plaid pencil skirt, a black lacy blouse, and some sweater tights. Very often they make themselves comfy with a green dress, silver tights, and an oversized black cardigan. Today they were co-stars in an outfits featuring a faux denim skirt from Urban Outfitters, and white sparkly boho scarf, argyle tights, and red top, and a black knit vest. Possibilities make my heart sing.
♥ Working in the library. It's so peaceful and I am very much charmed by all of the old books I am surrounded with. My favorite part of my job is playing with the card catalogue. After several hours of flipping through it, pulling subjects, authors, and titles, my hands often smell faintly of vinegar and paper. It sort of makes me curse the fact that most libraries are run all on computers and the books have become progressively less beautiful with a lot less gold calligraphy on the covers.
♥ New shampoo. I love showering with new shampoo. It always makes my hair feel so clean and new.
